History FakeNES is free, portable, Open Source NES emulation software. The codebase consists mostly of pure C language code (with some C++ added in later revisions) modelled around the platform abstraction layer provided by the Allegro library. Officially supported platforms include DOS, all versions of Windows released after 1995, Linux, Mac OS X, BeOS and QNX.

History This is a highly compatible emulator with support for light gun and Family BASIC. It is a very good choice and thanks to some tricks will run hacked games that could not be run by other good emulators. The english version is unnofficial and was made by Ben Boldt.
